Temperature and Salinity

Forgive me if this has been covered before. I found this article:

http://www.animalnetwork.com/fish2/a.../1/default.asp

I personally keep my temperature and salinity (77F, 1.024) lower than the optimum suggested here. My settings are based on advise from the Internet, other reefers and LFS staff. I'm just curious as to what others use in your tanks and what other information you have come across.

I keep mine at 80.0 degrees and 1.024 SG

Temp in out 42 fluctuates from night to day due to the heat given off by the MH. Night is about 76-77 F, day is about 80=81 F. Salinity is 1.024-1.025.

Temps in our nanos are about to be lowered to about 72-74 F in anticipation of the arrival of our temperate water, captive bred H. whitei seahorses. Have just begun converting the 7g and the 2.5g into non-coral reefs, so I haven't had the opportunity to see how temps will fluctuate in them.

80 and 1.025. My decisions in this area are likely derived mostly from reading the newsgroup and marine forums for several years, and also the visible effects I see in my tanks at lower values. If I had autotopoff, I'd keep my salinity at 1.026.

26C and 1.024-1.025
