wooo ordered my new tank from big als today!
 

Went to big als today and orderded my new tank! its 36x18x18 (they actually had this tank instock, but it wasn't reef ready) with a corner overflow and 2 returns. I also got the starphire front, it was only an extra 30bucks and i had a $25 off there (points) so i decided to go for it! should be here in 7-10 days, getting pretty excited now.

I also went in and looked at there new reno's for the marine section...On the far righthand wall of sw tanks, they added another 3 banks of those 2 tanks (1 on top of the other) and added another row of tanks along the bottom of the center post with all the marine tanks, no more corals, just fish...and they added what looks like to me a baby nurse shark to the big tank (about 18inches long) and some other big fish which i couldn't recognise.....

what was the cost? did you get a price from inter-american first? not to rain on your parade :biggrin: but inter-american has some pretty insane prices and they're so close to us all (can't remember if you're in calgary or bc). anyways congrats!

it was $172 , i tried to order from inter america but they said they dont make tanks for individuals in canada.....I know thats a load of bs, as jonathan got his from them, so i figure he just didn't want to waste his time with a small tank, which makes sense to me, oh well, good enought deal for me :biggrin: .

yeah i got my tank from them at the same time jon did. i think that they are trying to become a competitor to oceanic and aga now though and mitch was talking about how they don't normally sell to the local public. i'd be willing to bet your tank is coming from them anyways though, i think they're the only manufacturer around that uses starphire. at least you got a good price, my 150 was hella more expensive, $550, but still a few hundred cheaper than an aga or oceanic.
