tunze nano-9002.. or.. coralife 65/125?

alright so i think it's about time to throw a skimmer in as i'm starting to stock up on sps pretty quick, and was wondering what would cut it for a 33 gallon sps reef? all the reviews on marine depot about the tunze are positive saying it pulls out pretty nasty skimmate constantly, but aside from the flooding/water level hassle of the coralifes, which would skim my tank more efficiently? gonna go get one on friday so need some advice, thanks in advance..

I hear that the tunze 9002 is probably the best choice as a nano skimmer and I know that it is a lot better than anything that Coralife puts out.

I have a Tunze 9015 and I"m not thrilled with it compared to some of the skimmers that are out now.

Those Coralife's are a piece of crap. Anyone who says they're any good haven't had a better skimmer to compare it to.

Get the Tunze...hands down, no comparison.

Another to take a peek at would be a Deltec MCE300, which would be my first choice.

ya i thought so, tunze does make very good quality stuff, i'm just so tempted to save up another 2 weeks and get a euro-reef rs-80. i'm in a hurry to start skimming, so i can get onto zeo-

Wait a sec...you have a sump (now that I've read your signature). Why would you buy a HOB skimmer when you have a sump? Go for the Euroreef!

the tunze nano can't go in a sump?

sweet i just found someone selling an rs-80, guess euro-reef it is!

I think you will like the RS80 better than the Tunze 9002. Most HOB skimmers can be rigged to go in the sump. I have a Remora running on a sump...

The Tunze can go in a sump, but you won't regrest a Euro-reef if you have the room.

I'm still wishing I had gone with the EuroReef RS100 vs the Tunze DOC9010 . I expected more out of the Tunze, its been very hard to " dial In" thus far
