Lighting Hood or Retrofit?
 

I'm looking to buy a 48" PFO combination 2 MH + 2 VHO lighting system (the ones from JL Aquatics). I'm curious as to whether there are any advantages (other than work to assemble) in buying the hood over the retrofit kit? The retrofit kit is about $300 cheaper, both come with icecap fans.

I plan on having a wood canopy over the tank.
