as the title says i'm looking around for a nice fluorescent, pc, or T5 lighting set up with anywhere from 2x30 watts to 2x96 watts vho's, thanx again

IMO i would go with t5's they also add a shimmering effect:mrgreen:

it's the penetration of VHO's that i like though, T5's are pretty decent lighting systems though

Its been awhile since Ive used my old t5 fixture.. but I dont remember any shimmer effect. Are you sure t5's shimmer like MH's do?

no i'm almost positive they don't shimmer mik_101, you got good halides so you still get good shimmer even in conjunction with you're T5's

They shimmer when the halides are of as well FYI.Obviously not as much of a shimmer as with the MH on but still noticeable.

My T5 only setup shimmers. :)

really i'd never think t5's had any shimmer at all, interesting :idea:

you would need to get new bulbs but these might work for actinic suppliment
