Lettuce Nudibranchs

Has any one hear had any luck with Lettuce Nudibranchs for Bryopsis or hair algae.

The only luck I've had with nudibranches is them dieing off before they make a dent in anything. There was a previous post started back in April of 2007 with pretty much the same experience.

My clown fish ate mine 5 minutes after putting in the tank :twised: ...but the bucket they spent 2 hours acclimating in was algae free

I added one on Saturday, and it seems to be doing fine so far. It is hanging out on the algae, so I would assume its eating it.

I added two on Saturday. They have definetly gone after some patches of bryops in my tank. Not sure how long I can keep them but will try and let you guys know how it goes. Thanks, Chris

Mine cleaned off a space on the rock about three times the size of its body. I think its doing pretty good for starters.

I started with 2 nudi's , one is still alive the other I assume(found only half of) went through a power head within the first week. The next week I bought to more. There is atleast two left that I can see possibly still three. I am impressed with them so far . In the month or so I have had them they have kept the bryopsis and hair algae at bay. They have cleaned most areas bare and only the patches I have never seen them around are left. In my case I believe they have worked well but not sure if everyone else will have the same experience. My tank is a 3 foot 65 gallon with about 100 or so pounds of live rock. This is the only two photo I have to show before.
