anyone tried this?

We are starting up a new system soon, it'll be a 225g in-wall and for water circulation we are getting 2 tunze 6200's and had planned on attaching them to 2 wavy seas. Has anyone ever tried to do this? We are concerned about the amount of flow those things push out and if the wavy seas are going to be able to handle it. Any input would be great! Thanks.

This sounds like a question for.........SUPERFUDGE.....
Seriously I know that he uses virtually all tunzes for his in tank circulation for his 400g system and has DIY just about every concievable piece of equipment you could think of (and probably some you can't think of). Maybe try and send him a pm.

Ruth, I believe Fudge's system is 1000gal

I knew that - don't know what gremlin got into my fingers while I was typing. Sorry Marc

no problem

wavyseas will handle the 6200's no problem. They sell attachments for them:

but I have seen Superfudge's method which is a much easier and cheaper method of attaching them to the wavyseas.

I'm curious about these as well, I have two 6100's on a 220 in-wall.
The Wavy Sea + is supposed to be good for 3600gph and the Tunze 6200 is 5280gph or maybe it doesn't matter if your not using the nozzles?

doesn't matter

the gph rating on the wavyseas will be irrelevant in this case

Doesn't Wavysea have a bracket for mounting Seio's? I can't seem to find an accessory for it. Or can it be mounted already with the standard package, or do you think the Tunze bracket might adapt to a Seio? Anyone tried that?

I'd hate to plunk down $300 for a Wavysea, in the thoughts of putting some unused Seio's back into action, but I'd hate to have to DIY some clunky interface just to make it work after spending that kind of coin. I don't have Marc's "mad DIY skillz" so it's not quite the same thing.

Tony, it kind of looks like an acrylic box with a couple set screws to hold it in.
If the dimensions of the Seio's are close to the Tunze looks like it wouldn't be to tough to adapt.
