Don't know about the latex, ask the fish if they are alergic or have any sympotms!!

But I'm using a squash ball behing my overflow on my 33g QT, it is mostly above the water line (Over flow box is loose other wise.) Have seen no ill effects from that for 9 months now.

haha no, wondering if i can make a fake balloon anenome. But fish were scared to come out all day, i removed them last night.
