Help with my zoo's pls
Hi,
I have had a bit of trouble with my frag tank lately, I inadvertantly introduced nudi's with a frag I purchased and have been dipping with fresh ro water quite a few times now. Also some zoo's look as if they are turning inside out here's some pics... http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...5tests0008.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...5tests0005.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...5tests0004.jpg As in the last pic some frags are completely closed up and look to have white bits on them....nudi eggs? I do yet another fresh water dip when I see this to clean them off. And... not everything is looking so ill still some of my bigger frags are doing well. http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...5tests0006.jpg Thanks for any suggestions and tips :) |
Fresh water dips are a good way to clear nudibranches off of zoas but may not work with eggs. If there are eggs you'll have to pick them off manually.
But I don't think your problem are eggs. I think you're dipping them in fresh water too often, by the sounds of it. Zoas are tough, but frequent fresh water dips will stress it out and kill them. Let them recover before dipping again (1-2 weeks). Also keep them in a steady flow area after the dip. |
Thanx Rippin!!
