My 44g Reef - Week 3 - LOTS of pics!
Well - all is starting to come together nicely, the diatoms are on their way out, and the tank is meeting and EXCEEDING my expectations. I've spent a fair bit more than the $500 invested into the tank, but to be honest, it was the best deal I could have gotten by far.
Anyway - pictures speak louder than words! Main tank shot - a little blurry, but you get the drift: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3001.jpg My Sailfin, I was so hoping I wouldn't need to use the flash http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3002.jpg Shot 1 of my anemones and SPS http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3004.jpg Shot 2 - anemones plus some chromies! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3005.jpg More anemones - They're BTAs, think I'm a bit obsessed? Yep... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3006.jpg Y'know - I don't remember what the name of this SPS is, but it's pretty - has recovered nicely from the move http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3007.jpg My Zoas, Shrooms, Hammer and a few other things - strange thing in this pic is that there are actually 2 hammers, one is being covered by a large mushroom. Go figure. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3008.jpg Finally, I have my Colt Coral where I want it, it's away from anything that could bother it and gosh it looks happy http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3009.jpg |
Another money shot of my tank - including my sexsi light ^_^
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3010.jpg I remembered the name of the coral on the frag you see here for all of about 2 minutes, golden something. And there's my Saiflin, some anthelia and if you look by the shrooms, you'll see a poor section of zoas hiding and stuck: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3011.jpg You could say I'm addicted to shrooms! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3012.jpg This anemone shot pleases me. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3013.jpg okay - so from what I was told, this is a leopard wrasse - From the research I've done, it seems they're rare. Is that the case, or a bunch of hooey? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3017.jpg Draco, my mandarin in a better shot than I could have expected. And joy, I have a ton of diatoms on my sand. Oh, and he's being chased by my Wrasse http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3018.jpg Side view of my tank and my wee watchman goby! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...efweek3025.jpg And that's it! Happy days - things are going well, tank is doing great. Very happy am I! Next project, SUMP/Refugium! Nick |
I have the same wrasse Nick...love it...bought it from J&L and it eats everything and anything I put in the tank...I had a different leopard but it did not fare well, they are a bit tougher to keep depending on the actual type of Leopard wrasse.....Nice tank...it is coming along well..you must be very very happy!
