Bristleworm question

I have done some reading about bristleworms and I realize the term is very general and there are thousands of species so this question might be tough to answer.

Basically I found a 6 inch bristle worm crawling on my sand after the lights were out. The worm was a light brown to almost pinkish color. As opposed to the common bristle worm found everywhere this one had very small bristles for its size- actually almost didnt have any and they were not very close to eachother. I wasnt sure if this worm may pose a threat in the future so I removed it from my tank.

My question is should I find another do I need to worry about this and do the same with the next ones or should I just leave them be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I would leave him unless he looks like this. Most worms cause no harm to anything that is alive. Here is a little reading for ya.

good to know. Thanks for the reading. I thought I should have let him be. But stories from aquariest made me think I should get rid of it because of its size. But when I saw the 7 footer I felt better ;)
