What bulb would you get from here.

Im looking at the AB 14K
then the ushio 14K
and then the radium 20k

Lot of people are noticing that Reeflux 12k has a super high 430-450nm spike - So you get colouring more like a xm 20k, with the growth of a 10k.

XM 15k's I find to be pretty nice looking - not sure on par / growth on them though...

The par output on the XM 15Ks are pretty poor IIRC.

I personaly would go with the AB 10K, its actualy output is a true 13.5K which gives a nice crisp white with a tiny hint of blue.. then a couple VHOs round it off to amazing.. not only are you getting nice coloe but not much beats the AB in PAR output and if on a good proper ballast you can get up to 2 years out of them (mine are two years old and I had to put one back in as I have a bulb crack and it is still brighter and whiter than the new bulbs:sad:

Steve Im not actually running any actinic or supplement lighting just the dual 400's that i have going from 1-8 Pm i have 2 mini compact lights that run from 7am til 1 pm in the after noon to wake up and to have until the main lights come on they are 10 w each just enoough to light the tank.

But will the AB bulbs still ahve that nice blue or should i go with a 14 K bulb. or even the 20 K radium
