What effect do you find having actinics over a freshwater tank? Does it do anything for the plants or is it just for looks?

sorry for the delay . i thought it looed good and i didnt wanna waste the bulbs :roll:

the blue light should encourage the blamts to grwo more densly and put out better buds.

but the real nice one will be the colors of the fish.. if there is any iradessent colors they will stand out very nice.
