Metal Halide Mogual Pendant
 

I picked one of these up the other day for my 30 gallon cube in hopes to keep a better anemone than a BTA.

I hung it 12 inches from the tank as directed last night and long store short I ended up taking it down. The tank is in the dining room and it literally looks like we have a grow op in there with the amount of light in puts into the room. Is there anything you can do obviosuly it cannot be lowered. If this si the way they look then I think I will have to go back to pc.

Why can't it be lowered?

i had the same situation i lowered it, however i have a de type and it has glass so less likely to splash the bulb. you may want to biuld a surround that would site on top like a hood with no top or I at one time just cut a hole into the top of a hood make sure you leave a gap around the pendent <fire bad>.
