What is your TDS at home?

Hello,

I tried doing a search here but couldn't find anything. I'm curious what others have found their local TDS to be. I'm particularly curious about others here in Langley. The reason is that I just got a new TDS meter from Aquasafe to test my RO unit and I was expecting to find our water to have >100ppm TDS but the meter says my cold water from the tap is 14ppm TDS and my hot water is 24ppm TDS. I'm not sure if these numbers are accurate. If they are I expect this means my RO membrane should last quite some time.

My tap water here in Winfield is 201 ppm on my TDS meter.

Here in Winnipeg I get 67ppm from the cold water. I've never measured from the hot. After my aquasafe rodi is done with it, it fluctuates between 0 and 1 ppm.

Edmonton has been running 140-150ppm cold. My rodi eats it down to zero.

318 in regina, 3ppm outta my rodi unit.

Hi Scott,

I got dual TDS meter (J&L), 9 coming in 0 out of RO, I don't bother measuring after the DI. I was also questioning the accuracy of this meter.
I have been using my membrane for 3 years.

The GVRD has awesome water. I'm in Vancouver, and from the tap, my water is around 012.

The good thing about this is that you wont have to change the RO/DI filters as often.

So it just blows me away when I see posts in the States saying their tap water is reading a few HUNDRED. :S

Yep, I've seen my TDS get as low as around 10 ppm here in East Van. Your RO/DI membranes/filters/resins will last a lot longer because there's simply not very much stuff to remove.

mines about 12-13, ive seen it as low as 9.
