Lighting/Filtration Question
 

Hey all, here's the scoop: I currently have a 90 set up with 800W 14K Moguls and 4x65W PCs. I'm thinking of taking the PC's and throwing them on to a 55 that I'm going to buy. For the 90, if I take 2 NO 48" Strip lights and put them on the tank for before and after the halides come on am I going to have problems? I've heard that those bulbs can cause algae growth when they get older. Will that be enough light on the 90 to prevent a shock to everything when the lights come on?

Now for the 55... Will I be OK running an Aquaclear 500/110 (old name/new name) at 400 or 450 GPH on a tank that size?
