What is the max back pressure on a RO unit

Well as I consider my new tank install, I have decided that the space in my stand even with the re-designed sump is too small for my RO/DI unit.

I am considdering putting my RO unit in the basment and running a line up to the tank. The length of 1/4" line would be at least 60 -70 ft.

Does anyone know if this will be too much back pressure on the RO Unit.

I dont think it will be a problem.

Buy some 1/4" tubing from the hardware store for cheap, and test it!
Mount the RODI high up towards the ceiling, then you are only pumping a few feet anyways.

could query the manufacturer

well the tank is on the second floor so there would be at least 10ft of vertical head

The manufacturer should be able to to tell you, if not test it out and see if it works.

I know my setup runs about 30ft horizontal with lots of bends, so there is some head pressure there and it works fine.

My RO feeds into 3 preassure tanks that are pressurised to 40 lbs, so there should be no prob
