Id??
I have some orangey/pinkish things that seem to come out of the sand at night and are attracted to my flashlight beam. The cardinals like to feast on them when the are exposed by the flashlight. They are sort of wormy looking and are quite small, say 1/8 -3/16 " long at best and skinny. They swim like an eel wriggling through the water. Are they some kind of pod? Or are they the dreaded 'red bugs' I keep hearing about?

Do they clump together and make up a small mound in the sand? I bet they are spagetti worms, quite safe if they are.

Not the red bugs Greg. Red Bugs are almost microscopic and will be on your acros if anywhere.

Thanks for the info guys. Good to know.
