ok I have been looking for some sort of plug to make a quick disconect for my lights but I haven't been able to find anything proper (Victoria sucks for selection) but what I was wondering is if a 4 prong trailer plug would work? I saw some that have a rubber suround that would seal them when they are plugged in.
or does some one know of something that is made for this that is easy to get.

the best thing is they were only 2.00 for the set.

What are the voltage and current ratings on the plugs?

They don't look like a standard configuration.

i would check that those little suckers are good for the 5KV pulse when the capacitor fires. as you know we use mogul bases that are rated for the bulse start -- don't know what happens if you don't.

um...Oh I forgot to say this is for my floresent tubes so only .5 amp max.. I think thease were rated for way more than that. but thanks for bringing up the amount of power when starting a MH I will keep that in mind when I buy something for them.

You may want to reconsider using them if they are not rated for the proper voltage.

The pins look way too close to each other for ballast output. Arcing may be a concern.

A light sprinkle of saltspray a little electricity and we have the makings for an arcfest!
