Flame Angels...Bi-Color Angels

Are Flame angels OR Bi-color angels reef-safe?
I've read alot of conflicting info.. just need some clarification from experienced people :)

Depends on the angel with all angels other than the swallow tails there is some risk but i have a quite a few customers who keep both with no problems, but then again most of them have sps tanks.

No angel is guaranteed to be reef-safe.
Some will pick at your corals while others of the same species will not.
Its really a "Try at your own Risk".

That being said I have a dwarf angel that doesn't touch anything. (So far...)
I also know of quite a few others keeping dwarfs without any problems as well.

My cherub angel was completely reef-safe. The "experts" state that only the dwarf-dwarfs, like Flame-backs & Cherubs, are completely reef-safe & all the rest are semi-reef-safe.

Would you all reccomend a Flame or bi-Color?

The flameback angel we had in our 120g went after snails  I would not consider them reef safe.

Of my friends who have flame angels, almost all are reef-safe. Sorry, I don't remember anybody with a bi-colour.

Every thing i have read suggests that bicolour angels are ones least likely to be reef safe. I have a flame angel who picks at small polyps but she has never killed any coral. The corals just put there polyps out at night

its all a crap shoot. I had the nicest flame for 3 months, decided it liked SPS after.
