newbie need advice

okay, i want to set up a FOWLR tank and really want a lion fish, i was wondering if a 100g, would be a nice size for him, and what else i could put in the tank with him, i would reall like an eel maybe...

any advice or anything of interest to me would be wonderfull.

Thanks, Matt

Matt, welcome to the board. Yes, a 100g would be fine, and anything that won't fit in it's mouth or attack it will be a fine tank mate. When adding rock,. allow for the swimming space the fish needs.

I think that most lion fish would be fine in a 100 gallon, there are many eels though that need a bigger tank. I think a snowflake would be your only choice, zebra's and tessalata Eels would get too big in time. HTH

puffers seem to do well with lionfish as well.
