I am looking at doing this for my 55g tank. http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/show...0&pagenumber=1. I am looking for a place to buy a cheap ballast to power a 2 150w lights. and if any one know where I buy that light in Canada please let me know.

So you are looking at going with 150 watt HQI bulbs? If so you need HQI ballasts. I would suggest calling around to some lighting wholesalers and trying to find them. Maybe some of the other Edmonton folks might know a place to find them.

Ask Richer where he picked up his ballasts from.

Got my 175watt ballast from bartle and gibson on fort rd. I don't know if they sell 150watt ballasts though, I never asked. I recall someone once saying that www.aquaria.ca sold them. Maybe send Ivan an email to see if he still has any sitting around, or if he can bring them in for you.
