Hippocampus breeders

Hey folks,

Think I've finally decided on what I'm gonna do with that 20g... But of course CITES made life difficult!

Anyone know of Hippocampus breeders (seahorses) in canada? Preferably willing to ship or within a days drive of calgary?

Want some of the larger reidi/kuda etc's and some dwarfs.

Reidi and kudas are going to be hard to get up here. Here is an importer out of ON that has captive bred SHs for sale:

Yeah, spoken to aaron at seanic... Unfortunately it sounds like he's got a bigger demand than supply right now. I was looking for alternatives, i really would prefer Reidi's also...

Me and Dennis have tried calling these guys before and they will only ship within the US. Perhaps if someone is willing to do a pickup across the border (CITIES and all)?

Hell, I know I'd get in on that for sure, crazy expenses or not.

Pipefish

Just thought I might throw this one in , I just got in a pair of dragon pipefish tonite, ( I think they were called Tahiti Dragons if I remember correctly) that are a breeding pair...came with babies in the bag and eggs under the tummy.

Would be a perfect specimen to try in the twenty...

And now cites!

The fry have to be separated from the parents and be fed either newly hatched brine if they are large enough, or rotifers if they are very small.

Pipes

Hey,

The pipefish came in as Sygnathoides biaculatus

The fry unfortunately did not take very well to the 36 hours in shipping, but the pair is doing fantastic and look great.

Thanks for the info Bev
