Question about my Clownhole

This is my Female Clownhole several times a day she comes to this particular rock and lays exactly like this for anywhere from a few seconds to close to a minute she shows no signs of stress, illness or disease.

She only started doing this behaviour roughly 2 weeks ago so does anybody have an idea or suggestion on what she may be doing? The pair of them are well over 6 years old

My male clownhole is completely normal as are the rest of my fish just my female clownhole is doing this

Just being a Clownhole I'd assume. They are weird fish.

Sometimes in the morning mine will be laying on the sand bed. Sometimes in the morning i think they are dying. Sometimes in the afternoon i call my wife and ask her "how are the clowns?" she replies "fine...." but it has that tone that say, what the hell are you talking about you silly man there is nothing wrong here... why dont you ask how our kids are.

Sometimes now, i don't worry :P

My female will lay often on her Nem or sometimes on my flowerpot coral. Maybe she is tell you she wants a anemone:smile:

I've had 3 anemone in my tank and the clowns ignored the anemone every time and actually actively participated in the destruction of one but however throughout their time in my tank they have hosted my Yellow tailed Damsel (several months), a powerhead (just over a year) a rock ( about 7 months) and for the past year and a half have hosted my hammer and frogspawn garden

Strange fish

Hahaha they are definitely weird fish and every different one has some weird trait. Entertaining to say the least.

Haha, funny fish!

I'm a new reefer (8 months) with 2 clowns. At the start I found myself googling every week about their odd behavior. The more I read the more I realized... nothing can really explain these fish!
