New tank pics
After upgrading my lighting and a few other things to my tank I thought I'd post some pics for all to see.
The first and second pics are from the left side and then the right side of my 54 gallon corner tank. Sorry about the blurry fish, I haven't perfected the art of motion photography yet. http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...danny3-med.jpg http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...danny4-med.jpg The third shot is of the bulk of my corals, those green candies always mess with the color rendering. http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...danny8-med.jpg And finally a full tank shot of the reef under 380 watts of MH and PC lighting. What do you think? http://www.canreef.com/photopost/dat...anny10-med.jpg |

That is a "Shaving Brush" culerpa. You can see why they call it that. Very cool form of algea, it actually changes its shade of green depending on the nutrient content in my water, kind of an NO3 indicator.

very cool, I want some

That is pretty neat.. I was wondering what that was as well.

Nice rock work, Danny - that has got to be quite a challenge with that shape of tank.
How's the fish? |

He is quite the pig actually. When I use the turkey baister to feed the fish he'll swim right up to it and pick the food right out of it with his long nose.
The rock work really just comforms to the natural shape of the tank. Thanks guys! |
Where did you get the macroalgae? it looks awesome!
