Calcium reactor feed pump?

Ive been using the aqualifter pump to feed my calcium reactor but lately it seems to be inconsistant and seems to just stop. i tried another one and same thing.

I bought some fittings to adapt a few maxijets to 1/4" hose but it doesnt seem like they have enough pressure to push through the calcium reactor.

anyone know of how i can feed my reactor more reliably?

I've tee'd off my return line and that's been working fine for years.

When I ran a Calcium Reactor I did the same as Brad.

If t-ing off the return doesn't work you could look into a peristaltic pump. Even used ones are quite expensive though. One benefit of a peristaltic pump is that like the aqualifter you can pull water through the reactor rather than pushing, so as an added bonus the reactor is not pressurized. Peristaltic pumps are highly consistent in the level of flow and there are various types of controls for them.

I am currently using an aqualifter and like you am having the same problem with the cheap plastic gate valve on the line. Eventually I will probably get fed up and get a peristaltic pump.
