RIP, golden dwarf eel, 2009-2016
 

Lost my golden dwarf moray today.. just kinda bummed. This was one spunky and unafraid fish, definitely was closer to "pet status" than your average fish since he would come out of the rock to say hi (and "Feed me") anytime he would notice me near the tank.

I'm actually not sure when I got him now. He was in his last tank since 2011, and I had him easily 2 or 3 years before that. So he was as old as 7 or 8 years.

Awww, he's cute too! Sorry for the loss.

My sentiments exactly. It was a real cutie. My wife hates snakes and somehow can't differentiate between snakes and eels. You are lucky you had yours for a good long time and it was lucky to have a caring owner.

Sorry for your loss, it's always harder when you lose a tank favorite.
