LF - Cheap 6 foot tank for tank transfer - YYC

Im getting ready for a large tank transfer. I'm looking for a cheap 6 foot holding tank that has to be drillable, or already drilled.

Also could use 3 x 36" holding tanks that are drillable or drilled. Or open to other suggestions. I just want to transfer everything from one tank to another, then move in the new tank and do the cabinet work etc.

Let me know!

How long will the fish be in there? Corals too?

You could put corals into a smaller sumped system. Put the fish into a livestock tank. You can pick up a 150-gallon livestock tank for about $150. Personally, when doing a tank transfer like this, I like to separate the corals from the fish. It tends to go smoother.

Im thinking everyone will be in a temporary home for at least 7 days.

Right now a lot of the corals are encrusted onto the rocks, and the rock structures are in 4 Fiji-crete'd structures. All loose corals will go into my frag tank. But I was hoping to just transfer the rock structures into a holding tank similar to what they are in now. Your way is looking more realistic as the days go on.

Is it not possible to get everything ready for the new tank, move livestock to a holding tank or two, move the new tank in, and transfer them to the new tank all in one day? What would be preventing this?

Cabinet work would stress the fish out I think.

Found a good 125 gallon deal on Kijiji ;-)

Thanks

I have some Laguna Basins (stock tanks) you can just borrow if you'd like.

I have one of each size (50 to 250 gallons).

I'm in Dewinton, not too much further that the Sobey's where we met for the doser last time.

Kijiji had a 5 foot by 20 for 100 bucks
