Anyone has AI Prime

I'm interested in this light, wondering if anyone has it in Vancouver that I could take a peek at.

I have one and it friggin rocks. I had concerns that it wouldnt give me an even spread over my 34g cube but this light covers every corner easily. Not to mention I can tune every color of led with my I phone.

Get one!!!!!

How high is your tank/light and what kind is spread do you get?

The light sits at about 12-14 inches from the water. Bought it with the tank mount bracket.

I've got it tuned to about 70% and my tank is about 20" x 20" and it covers all four corners. I have a clam on the sandbars as well and it seems happy and brighter than ever

I would show you pics but I can't post it with an I phone. I can text if you like

Any idea what the spread would be if not was 5" above the water? I like the lights low so they don't blind you from the couch :)

Just took a ruler to it and it is 8" from the water. So at 5" there should be very little difference. I would guess 18x18" easily

Awesome thanks. I have a 36"x12" tank so looks like 2-3 would be needed depending

2 should easily do the trick. And just think about never having to buy bulbs for it. Bulbs aren't cheap. The prime is the best bang for the buck by far.

I'm so happy I have one:)

Do you keep SPS?

NU-2reef 05-18-2015 08:04 AM

The only sps I have currently is a monti cap and it's thriving just an inch above the sand bed. Sort of a test piece. Having successfully kept sps in the past I would feel comfortable adding a collection of sps in this tank.
