We also have Bubble Magus Curve 9's
They are rate for 300-400 gallons

Awesome skimmer!

Buccaneer 12-01-2014 02:55 AM

What would you use for a skimmer for the 40G?

lpsreefer 12-01-2014 05:25 AM

For a qt tank. No skimmer,
I use a small power head, air stones, and a heater. With apiece of live rock.

Buccaneer 12-01-2014 10:31 AM

my mistake ... no skimmer for QT tank ... no live rock either due to medication I plan to use ... so looks like a foam filter will have to do ... will check out concepts

CM125 12-01-2014 04:12 PM

we will be buying the curve 9 for our 250G. Concept seems to be the cheapest in town. I would go that route for sure

Skimmin 12-02-2014 07:39 AM

Im not sure what price range you're interestes in but concept is also bringing in the Ati powercone 250. I've got one on order for my new 300gal. Its in a higher price range then the Curve 9 but comes with a controllable pump and a digital airmeter.

Buccaneer 12-02-2014 04:00 PM

Depends on how much more and if it will be significantly better than the curve I suppose ...thanks for the heads up

CM125 12-02-2014 05:43 PM

ATIs are like double the price. Are they really twice as good? you would have a hard time convincing me...

Buccaneer 12-03-2014 12:11 AM

At twice the price would it not be better to buy 2 curve 9's ... twice the skimming of a single skimmer and redundancy if one fails
