too much TDS?

I know its time to replace the filters in my RODI filter... but how much is too much for TDS?

When my filter system was new i had a 0ppm reading for a few weeks, then it just kinda sat at 2ish ppm for the next 8 months.
Now suddenly im up to 26! Time to get new ones :)

How often do you change yours? Is 0ppm for the life of the filters realistic?

As you stated you obviously want to be at 0ppm. But iv heard of people using water with up to 12 ppm with no noticable effects. I wouldnt reccomend that though. Over 20 and id be a little bit worried about adding that to my tank. Iv had my filters for almost a year and still reading 0ppm

Depends how much water you go through and TDS of source but I change pre-filters every 6 months and di once it starts creeping up. Got around 5 years from my last membrane before my rejection rolled off and starting to eat up resin.

kien just talked about this recently and I'd be inclined to speak with him as you are both in Calgary

He, if I recall, had an issue with his DI

If he doesn't chime in, shoot him a PM
