Tropic Marin has spent years researching what is required for optimum coral growth and the health of fish. Its discoveries have led to the development of new products. Presently on my second 200 gallon pail of Tropic Marin Bio-Actif and the parameters in the tank are great. Paired with calcium reactor, ca 440, mag 1350, nitrates 0.25; pumps easy to clean. Salt is more expensive than others but well worth it.

I have used every salt on the market, including Seachem Salinity. My corals love Bio Actif within the first few hours of a water change. The water is crystal clear after using this as well.
You can mix this fast and use it within 30 minutes and there is 0 residue. Fish are more active, corals extend further, great salt

Are you using this salt personally now? So far I am impressed with all the reviews I have found, seems to have been in the US for some time, as tropic Marin USA brought it in. Only thing that seems off for me and I thought of it initally I always have a few hundred gallons of spare water sitin around as a just in case water change. From what I have been reading with the doc actually get eaten by bacteria in the bio actif salt after a few days. They recommend mixing and using immediately. I guess I could always just keep the tubs full of warm ro and add the salt as required. I like this salt seems to offer and already use reefers best so not much of an increase in price. Would I be better using just the Tropic Marin regular salt then.

I am using the regular one but adding bio actif manually, my skimmer goes into overdrive!

$149 for a pail? Sweet Jesus, is this stuff made out of panda blood and tiger tears or what?
