tank water salinity

So i bought my self a refractometer and checked my water it was at 1.030!! so i started to lower it with RO water, its now at 1.025.
would you guys think my SPS and fish should be ok or was it to drastic of a change, i did it over a couple of hours.

Well, the deed is done so what we think is probably a moot point. Keep an eye on your livestock & wait it out, hope everything makes it.

What size of tank? I would imagine that every thing should be ok, just might be a little POed for a day or two.

its a 75g, i was using a hydrometer before, thats why i had no clue it was so high.

Lowering salinity is easier on fish than raising it
Not sure about inverts and corals etc

Next time you run across this problem, try lowering it just a point or 2 per day where your whole tank is concerned

BTW, do you know if your new refractometer is calibrated ?
Most are out of the box from what I've read, but wouldn't hurt to check
