Aiptasia sucks

Has anyone ever tried using nudibranches to get ride of aipatsia or peppermint shrimp. If so what are you opinions. I have chemical do get rid of them but I'm using a 5-8 gallon tank(can't remember size) and want to avoid the chemical because i don't want to kill my corals.

Aptasia X and joe juice won't have impact on the corals as long as you don't put them in coral's mouth. Nudis work the best and peppermint shrimps are kinda hit or miss (according to people who used it).

I am pretty sure red coral has aptasia x. Big Al sells ApX that's for sure. Infact, almost all stores carry apx or joe.

My peppermints have kept my tank relatively aptasia free since startup. The only ones I've seen have come in on rock from other people's tanks.

file fish

I have been thinking about adding a file fish to my reef tank. I have read that they are not reef safe and your link states that as well. Have you have any problems with him picking on corals ? I also have to cleaner shrimp that I would like to keep.

Lysmata boggessi Is the breed of peppermint shrimp I have. Half a dozen of them cleared out every aptasia I had in less than a week. I keep one in my 120 gallon display and six in my sump. The rock covered in aptasia I throw in the sump to get cleaned and the one shrimp in the display keeps the strays at bay.
