clam question..

hey just got a 5'' derasa yesterday, and i know how many predators clams have, what are you guys doing to keep these predators at bay? things like fireworms and pyramidellid snails i meen. two fish that really caught my eye is the yellow wrasse and dottybacks,

I used to keep a sixline wrasse, and I try when possible to place my clams on something, e.g a tile hidden under sand, or on a rock.

ya thats what i did too, i placed a small piece of eggcrate under the sand where the clam is. as for fish where i read, i see comments about how good yellow wrasse' are at guarding corals and clams, anyone had any experiences with yellow wrasse'.

We have one, and we haven't had any problems with our clam. And the wrasse adds some great colour to the tank.
