Vertex Alpha 250 skimmer for sale. The Red Dragon pump had died on this skimmer so I replaced it with a Reef Octopus DC-5500S controllable DC pump. At the time, I would have had to wait 2-3 months for a replacement Red Dragon to come from Germany and the Reef Octopus pump had very similar stats with the added bonus of being controllable. I only used the new pump on this skimmer for 2 months prior to shutting down my 225 gallon system.

Retails for $1429.95 @ J&L. Asking $800

Located in Regina but will deliver to Saskatoon, Lloydminster or Edmonton in mid March. Still have the original box so I'm willing to ship but likely won't be cheap due to size. PM if interested.

Found this gem of a picture as well. This is an example of what this skimmer is capable of doing. I was running it on ~275 gallons of water that was heavily stocked and heavily fed and it handled the bioload like a boss.
