Just curious are there any cons to running carbon in a reef aquarium? I'm kind of undecided anyone have any opinions?

It could be toxic. That's a real con..

Hummm that's troubling, anyone calculate probabilities or run any placebo experiments to judge possible toxic effects on aquaria inhabitants and fauna.
