Bryopsis

Any one have any ideas on getting rid of bryopsis. I believe the only way is pulling the infected pieces and scrubbing them in a seperate bucket of water.
Any other ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks, Chris

Thanks Chin I will try that but alot of the patches I have are amongst rics ,zoos and other polyps I have. Think I might have to pull them out and use a soft tooth brush to scrub them in a seperate pail of water. Thanks Drew I read alot of that post yesturday . Was just curious if there was any other ideas people had.
Thanks again, Chris

Add a phosban reactor & attack it with a Sea Hare, H2O changes & you will do it in. I've killed off infestations twice now with this method.

I'm on the ultralithe system. My nitrates are undetectable and phos are undetectable occording to my salifert test kits. I have had a few sea hares and have lost them to power heads. So don't really want to try them again. Have to get the phos tested properly. Also thought not to much ate bryops and manully removing it in your aquarium just spreads it.
Thanks , Chris:wink:

If you have Bryopsis growing in your zoos the hot water will kill the zoos in that area. If the whole colony isn't affected they will eventually grow back- well worth it to eradicate the pest. You have to re-check at least once a week to make sure you get it all. You will also need to make a top-down viewer to find all the patches growing in the back.
