Maybe if you have a Gorgonian coral. It might be Corynactis. The pic isn't clear enough to see it well, and there are a lot of little anemones that look like that. Keep an eye on it - if you notice they are popping up babies at a quick rate, then nuke it (Aiptasia methods like kalkwasser paste should work).Soapy's pic is Pseudocorynactis sp, White Ball Anemone. They aren't usually a problem, but in rare occurrences it can become invasive.

Yep I think you are right about Pseudocorynactis. I went back down last night in the dark and discovered there are more than I thought, there are about six. Time to break out the blow torch! j/k

Also right about corynactis being temperate. Good call.

Interesting, this site claims there are some tropical species of corynactis. Also a good write up on pseudocorynactis.

Okay, ya I will keep an eye out for sure. It is on a piece of rock I got from a lfs to seed my new tank. Ya the pic is pretty garbage all I've got is my phone camera. Thanks for the info Myka!

Yeah, I know most Corynactis are temperate, but I wasn't sure if all are.
