In memoriam - "Doug"

It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of a great friend and avid reefer Doug Lowey on July 27th, 2017. Doug had been battling cancer for a second time and unfortunately this last battle was too much to overcome.
To all who had the pleasure of knowing Doug you will know what I mean when I say it was an honour to have called him a friend. He was an incredibly kind and good hearted man who had a lot of passions in his life, none could compare to the love for his family. One of his other great passions however was his enjoyment of reef keeping and helping others in the hobby.
Please join me in remembering Doug, and sending our deepest sympathy and condolences to his family during this time.
You will be greatly missed Doug.

Saddens me to hear the passing of Doug. Was fortunate to have purchased a skimmer from him a few years ago, and could not have dealt with a nicer reefer

Rest in Peace Doug. While your family and friends will grieve, now your own pain is finally over. Living with cancer is terrible. Bless you Doug and thanks for all your years helping out reefers on Canreef.

Doug, have mercy. Although your friends and relatives may be sad, your own suffering is now gone. It is awful to have cancer. Thank you for aiding reefers on Canreef for so many years, Doug, and may God bless you.
