Article on expensive sw fish

Here is an article posted Last year (2019) about the most expensive salt water fish in the world for the home hobbyist. Hope you have deep deep pockets.

Amazing fish
Even if I had deep pockets, I don't think I would try to keep these rare fish

Thanks for sharing

Ironically the most expensive salt water fish pales in comparison to the worlds most expensive fish which can cost up to $400,000 to buy and that is a Silver Arrowana which is the new rage in Asia especially China.

I think maybe you should check your facts. Koi go for considerably more money and alot more often than of the others kept in the hobby.

All around, Tuna still take the prize for most expensive and those are dead.

This deals strictly with aquarium fish for home aquariums Koi are generally classified as pond fish and fall into outdoor fish category. While on the subject most expensive koi bought cost $2.2 million (2019).

$fish

this blogger (https://www.youtube.com/user/coralfish12g/videos) did a recent tour of Singapore, Indonesia fish market to see what kinda fishes are available and its prices. Expensive fishes are typically $10K -30K USD for stuff like arowana, stingrays, and some prized goldfish. With the freshwater fish market probably 10X bigger than salt, lot more people with money in that marketspace. That wall street guy Andrew Sandler probably is one of the more rich people out there who spend millions on their 30,000 + gallon volume of water setups in a purpose built house.
