There are a bunch of worms in an ant hill. The long black thing in the middle is growing as well. What are they?

Lol! I don't even know how I found it! I am still pretty new on here, and I browse from my iPhone with the Tapatalk app.. Half the time I don't even know where I'm reading the stuff I find on here! Lol! But I still find everything pretty interesting.. And that thread never did have a post saying what it was.. So curiosity killed the cat I've heard.. :-/
