Flatworm warning

Just giving everyone a heads up that either golds or big als have flat worms. Started a tank back up in april and I have only added stuff from golds once (my most recent purchase) and a fiji yellow leather from big als 2 months ago. all corals were dipped but I guess some made it into my nano

ha just my luck after laying low for the past 2 years

Thanks for the heads up buddy.

I have stopped buying coral from Big Al's... Too bloody expensive.

I second this... Way TOO expensive. Cheaper to drive out to Burnaby and buy a bunch at J&L and drive them home.

Unfortunately I've seen flatworms at big als more times than I can count. I also brought home the little bastards a couple years ago from them that forced the shutdown of a good tank.

Pitty they knowingly sell this stuff to people...

In all honesty guys I just listed off the two locations I purchased from since my start up. But with previous experience with flat worms I would have seen them quickly after adding the leather from big als. After adding the zoa frag from golds within 2 weeks flat worms were present.

Just be warned about these 2 locations. golds has always been one of my top locations for purchases and still will be, at least its a fixable problem

Did you notify both retailers? Just in case it's a problem they haven't caught onto yet.

they for sure aren't Planarian. Those were the ones that infested my 60gal a few years back.

found this picture, looks very similar to what I have

Pretty much any "reef safe wrasse" will destroy those little buggers.
