JL

So my Omega 150 pump decided to act up last night. Loud buzzing sound and no bubbles. I took the pump out and cleaned around impeller area. Turned the pump back on and got water movement out of the outlet pipe but no bubbles still. I called Jeff at JL and he told me to bring the pump down for him to look at. I had work so I sent the wife and kids there. From what I heard, 10 mins to remove busted impeller, replace with a new impeller and to test in water. Done. Unit is now at home ready to be reassembled!
Moral of the story: if possible, but your most important pieces of equipment from LFS. I'm lucky mine happens to be JL. I could have bought it online for a few $ less but I'm sure I'd be waiting a while for a resolution to my problem.
Kudos to JL!

Way to go J&L, now that's customer service. :thumb:

+1

The staff at JL are great to deal with. Very customer service oriented.

I recently had problems starting up my new cube. Mg was at 2300ppm. They stepped up to help me isolate the problem - bad bucket of IO salt.

Could've gone another LFS to buy a bucket if IO salt but spent the money at JL.

Thank you JL!

100 % agreed Hung, Jeff and the entire JL team has been awesome on customer service...well except for 1...

Couple of examples.

One reefer overdosed on chemicals and didn't have any pre-made salt water, Jeff was gladly to help out and supplied him with 20 gallons of water.

Last night I was there picking up 9 anthias for a buddy and they fished out around 30 - 40 of them in nets just so he can pick out what he want it. If that's not service I don't know what is. Obviously I wouldn't expect them to do that when its smoking busy but the girl in the pink hair (no, not Steph) did a great job.

Try to buy local!

+1! To be honest JL is as local as it gets and I'm on the island. Always have items readily available and they are very customer oriented... Even the owner and management comes out and express interest in you and your system. IMO Safari and JL's customer service and advice are top notch! In addition, I don't even have to waste time to negotiate price and they deliver to my door step... How much better can it get? Now that Safari is closed I will only shop from JL.

Merry Christmas to the JL team!

Agreed JL is awesome

Just getting into the hobby and JL has helped me through some growing pains.

When I first started I dropped by to pick up test kits, John suggested that I go for Salifert tests. Thought to myself, "I don't need that fancy stuff", cheaped out and got API against his recommendation. Well long story short I now have the "fancy" Salifert kits. Lesson learned, listen to John (although I wouldn't admit it to his face )

I'm lucky to have them close by.
