Angel - Cherub Centropyge argi

Anyone had experience with one of these fish. Are they reef safe?

I had one for 3 or 4 years. They are a beautiful little angel. I had it in my 180G Reef with no problems. I added a flame angel and it continually chased the Cherub.

These angels are great. why?

1.because they stay sooo small

2.From what i've seen and read they rarely eat corals

3.they add such beautiful motion to your tank as they can fit in small holes so they search everywhere

I know it's not the same as what you asked about but I have a Bellus Angel and she's great. She will however be double the size(about 7") but is supossed to be completely reef safe.

Edit: Just a heads up that it looks like my downsize is going to happen so she'll have to be re-homed in the next few months.

It's an angel... you take a risk with any of them really.

I find the smaller Angel's to be better though... in my experience.

I think I will phone the LFS this morning and if he's still there I'll go in and get him.

OK, during the snow today with visability on the highway of practicaly zero, I drove into the city and picked him up. Turns out he is not this fish exactly, but in the same family. A beautiful sort of royal blue/purple body with yellow/golden head and blue rings around his eyes. Only about 1" long. He's still in the plastic bag being aclimated. I'll post pictures as soon as I can.

I look forward to pics!

Sounds like a Potters or a Coral Beauty. A picture would be nice.
