Won't be doing any scuba, but headed to snorkel in Aitutaki, Moorea, and Bora Bora in October!

Not sure there will be a lot of healthy coral based on what I've read, but will be a good time and the fish are still all kickin it. Got to find someone to look after my poor reef while I'm gone. My friend with no reef-keeper experience did a great job on my last trip, but he's moving :(

Would love to scuba some day....

Sadly... this is the first year I don’t have any concrete Scuba plans. I hope I will be able to make it to Hawaii or somewhere in the Caribbean but nothing confirmed.

Possibly Some Wreck hunting here in Halifax

One of my 'finds' from last season :)

You're going to Aitutaki, but not Rarotonga? I went to both in 1998 and found Aitutaki had no good snorkeling - bays were cloudy. Rarotonga was wonderful for snorkeling- you could go all the way around the island in 5-10 feet deep. It was great! One day there was even a huge Manta Ray inside the reef!

Cool! I do mostly cold water diving locally too! If you ever get a chance to hit up Port Hardy on Vancouver Island, do it! I went last October and the diving was PHENOMENAL!

I'm headed to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at the end of April for a week of diving.

I'll be Divemaster'ing all summer in the lakes with students here.

October I'm headed back to Port Hardy, BC for 10 days of diving.

This makes me jealous. I have approx 500-550 dives, all of which are in Nova Scotia. Incredible diving year round though.

I feel like i'm to the point if I dive somewhere warm I wont want to dive the cold anymore lol

IM diving the HMCS Annapolis on sunday. It’s a cool dive. I try to go diving every weekend

I mean.. have to go through Rarotonga to get to Aitutaki but, it's so hard to know... I've read recent reports that up to 90% of raro's inner reef hard coral is toast. The lagoon for aitutaki isn't in great shape either, but the trips to one foot island and such are much better from what I've read.

I haven't booked the accommodation for aitutaki yet, maybe I should split 3 and 3 between each.
