I need to borrow a crab trap

I need to catch mantis shrimp or whatever it is. Please let me know if someone can lend me a crab trap.

Thank you!

Hey Alex, I have a critter trap you can borrow. Just not too sure how to get it to you, I need to head to Port Moody this evening, could that help?

Depending on what you are trying to catch; couple of options beside the crab trap are:

Inverted bottle as mentioned in previous reply

Placing a clear glass cup by the rock, critter falls/crawls in but can not get back out

Placing a piece of frozen shrimp in nylons near the mantis shrimp, it will get it's claw caught in the nylon and then you just pull him out.

Have used all the above depending on what I was after... good luck with your hunt.

Thanks Ian for the trap. I think I'm dealing with mantis shrimp and don't think it can go through the bottleneck. I also tried a cup method, but no success, I don't think it ever climb on rocks and I'm pretty sure this thing live in the sand bed under rocks.
I will post my progress here.

Iv had great success with bottle traps. Worked everytime for me. And usually within 30 minutes of lights going out.
