I bought a tank with this coral in it but I dont know what it is I think it is a moon coral

candy cane?? it looks similar to a blue candy to me but im new to salt

I would say it looks like a Favia. LPS.

yes some favia but the polyps each one is 1 1/2- 2 in the coral is huge

There is an Acan that has huge polyps.

Possibly...

Acanthastrea echinata.

I looks nice whatever it is , dosent look nearly as fleshy as an acan .

maybe fraging time..... Favia it is commonly also called moon coral LPS.
I have a couple green Fulvia's one has smaller polyps and the other has large polyps. I know they are from the same colony.

Looking at it closely, with the structure and texture of the polyps it looks like a type of moon favia to me.
Acans puff up a lot more than favias do, and it looks structurally similar to the favia I have as opposed to the acans I have.
