Found this thing moving through my rockwork the other day, the following day he went around the whole tank on the glass. Moves fairly quickly, any ideas what it is??

I believe its a flatworm of some sort.

Do you have SPS? Could be the type that munches on SPS

fish_geek 10-20-2012 04:32 AM

No SPS, mostly softies, I should mention that it was quite large, roughly an inch around.

Lettuce Nudibranch?

Looks more like a flatworm than a nudi

How big is it? I have something similar in my 280g. Huge sucker too, easily 2"-3" around. Only ever spot it late at night when I use a flashlight. Doesn't seem to do a lot of harm, at least none that I can tell. No idea how he hitchhiked into the tank as I used pretty much all dry rock in this particular tank.

I'm guessing flatworm of some kind too.

This is correct. You want to get rid of it, they can be quite destructive.

Any suggestions on how? I'll probably never be able to get mine out of my tank unless I could maybe trap it. OTOH I first noticed mine maybe 6 months into the tank so easily 18 months now, what damage should I be looking for?
