Found like on marketplace and seems like a decent deal, they currently have it setup with just filter but I imagine you can get a over flow box for where there holes are? It's in the next town over and current owners done really seem like they now much. Would this be a decent by for 700? I still have all my ecotech stuff from my old salt and the my old sump as well to throw under it. You can always drill your own holes for the overflow.

You should also consider how and what will you be using as lighting options. Is it for a reef tank? Because it is a 5 feet tank and the most standard and efficient lighting option (especially if you want to go hybrid LED and combo with T5 bulbs) is for 4 ft length.

One thing you could do if you want to save on cash is put new bulkheads in then put pipes with screens in at the desired height that you want them at. It may not look pretty but they will be functional.

Just an idea.

Siliconing boxes in place;
Acrylic you'll need to have made as I doubt you'll find something attractive out of a box. Won't be leak-proof. Think about ALL that tank water making it's way to your sump during a prolonged power outage.
Glass is much safer but won't be pretty or easy to disguise. You can get smoked glass. Figuring out how to incorporate a weir or have glass machined with teeth can be a challenge/costly.

Replace the current bulkheads with new (or new gaskets) and plug them.
Drill the back or an end for a ghost overflow.

Use standpipes as previously mentioned;
Still recommend new bulkheads (or new gaskets).
Not the most efficient for surface skimming but will get you going.
Some PVC cut to the desired running height and returns plumbed in.
I saw a dentist's office with this setup and it wasn't TOO ugly with all the hardware in the stand. Viewable from all 4 sides.

Also, I feel $700 is pretty steep for just a tank and stand. If it had an overflow maybe $500

You could buy something new for that kind of money if you went aqueon and drilled it yourself for a few hundred more with a ghost overflow

Well I ended up getting it. It came complete with filters, led fluval light and decorations and It did have trim the trim on it. Was setup for fresh water. They had it in a dark garage when I picked it up and when I got home noticed the front was pretty scratched, as well as one the the bulk heads leaking and some water damage to the stand, so yeha looks like I got ripped off.

Debating what route I should go. I looked into new tanks but since my space is limited to 68" I'm having a hard time finding new, got quoted around 2600 to build a new one with stand.

I pulled 2 of the bulk heads out, they had gaskets and were silcones in there and the hole was about 35mm,seems pretty small. The back of the tank is dirty and doesn't look as scratched so maybe I should drill the front out to make a coast to coast as long as it's not tempered Or maybe I'm just better off trying to resell to someone who wants to use it for fresh water and go the custom route down the road when the money allows it.
Been a rough couple days feeling like a idiot cuz I rushed in because I was excited to find another tank in my wife's price range for me to start back up.

Buy new bulkheads don’t reuse the ones that came with the tank and clean your tank out using a vinegar/water combo

Scrape the glass with a razor

Check the silicone beads thoroughly

Plug the bulkheads fill with water check for leaks

If ok drain and setup your tank as you like
